Grab Your Friends.
An unofficial tribute to my favorite TV show (Along with “The Great British Bake Off” and “The Wire”). Adventure Time is not only a visual masterpiece, It’s also the first in a wave of animated shows that are written better than most things on television.
Have you ever wondered what becomes of the crewmembers of a hit cartoon show once it wraps up production? Well, when it comes to Adventure Time, there’s a good chance they’d stay at Cartoon Network and help make Julia Pott’sSummer Camp Island. Take a look at all the former ATers who’ve lent a hand or two to the new series:
Cole Sanchez, Kent Osborne, Adam Muto, Lindsey Pollard, Sandra Lee, Andy Garner-Flexner, Rachel Kim, Ron Russell, Oliver Akuin, Jesse Balmer, Hanna K. Nyström, Steve Wolfhard, Kris Mukai, Polly Guo, Somvilay Xayaphone, Sam Alden, Graham Falk, Seo Kim, Aleks Sennwald, Nate Cash, Elizabeth Ito, Erik Fountain, Tom Herpich, Niki Yang, Tim Brock, Ako Castuera, and Kirsten Lepore.
Summer Camp Island premieres this Saturday, July 7, at 6:00 a.m. (ET/PT). Cartoon Network is unloading all twenty episodes, so just go ahead and cancel any other plans you have that day.
Congratulations, Julia (who worked on Adventure Time her own self), and thanks to Andy for the list.
Yet another Emmy nomination for Adventure Time in the category of Outstanding Short Form Animated Program. Congratulations to the cast and crew (wherever you may be).

Happy #BookLoversDay.
Come to Los Angeles and hang with the Adventure Time cast & crew for the big series finale.
We’re less than two weeks away from the big Adventure Time finale. To honor the show, the Los Angeles Times is collecting fan art from folks just like you.
Head here to submit your work. Thanks!
And thanks, too, to MySweetPhantom for this classic LSP piece from back in the day.

Have you submitted your Adventure Time fan art to the Los Angeles Times, yet? Go here.
The Los Angeles Times’Robert Lloyd has up a first-rate oral history of Adventure Time, featuring Pen Ward, Adam Muto, Jeremy Shada, John DiMaggio, Olivia Olson, Rebecca Sugar, Ian Jones-Quartey, Pat McHale, Julia Pott, Fred Seibert, Nick Jennings, and Rob Sorcher. Salut!
Let’s all give a cheer to Lindsay Small-Butera. The TeeVee Academy is now announcing she’s won a juried animation and motion design Emmy award for her character animation in the Adventure Time episode “Ketchup.” She and her partner-in-crime, Alex, animated and directed three separate segments in the cartoon. The awards are presented here in LA not this weekend but the next.
Congratulations, Lindsay!
Alex & Lindsay’s self-caricature lifted off the dynamite ChrisOatley.com.
Adam Muto announces, “The first (and very possibly last) Adventure Time crew zine BLE, now available as a digital edition.”
